Mindful Mittens
Hi Mamas,
Pre-k-1st grade students enjoyed our book study of ‘The Mitten’ by Jan Brett while dressing up like the character in the book 🧶🧤🧣
Little learners became writers and illustrators as they retold the story through words & pictures. 📝📚
The kids worked on math skills like sequencing, patterns, and shapes while making ‘mindful mittens’ of their own. Everybody circled all their sightwords, and wrote down the definition of “mindfulness” for their ‘mindful mittens’. ✏️
Get your ABC & capital letter cards in our shop and follow along on all our learning adventures with your littles! ❤️
Kinder & first grade friends share their ‘Mindful Mittens’ while practicing the art of mindfulness using deep belly- box breathing, counting to four and then exhaling through their mouth’s while blowing out their birthday candle. 🎂❤️
This is an important skill for every child to have in their emotional toolkit as a way to stay calm and centered! ❤️
