Happy Lunar New Year 2023, the Year of the Rabbit 🐰

Hi mamas,

We had so much fun celebrating Lunar New Year! 🎉 It’s the year of the rabbit, and we have plenty of those! 🐰

We experienced multi-sensory learning at it’s best here in The Little Red Schoolhouse as students enjoyed reading, writing, learning, and tasting their way through Lunar New Year. 🍊

We had lots of fun learning about our zodiac animal signs, learning new words for Lunar New Year, dressing up with bunny ears, and tasting some of the traditional banquet foods. 🥡🥢

Our students also enjoyed researching character traits of the zodiac animal sign, 🐲 enjoying long noodles for a long life, 🥡🥢 oranges for a sweet life, 🍊 and “Hong Boas” (lucky Money) 🧧

Our second grade friends brainstormed adjectives (descriptive words) to describe our furry classroom friends, AKA “therapy bunnies”. These bunnies have quickly become some of the students’ fave animals here on our backyard farm! 🐰🐶🐷🐔🐣🐐🐓
